Terrell C. Lady received his undergraduate degree in Economics from The College of William and Mary. He was awarded his Certified Life Underwriting and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from the American College and holds FINRA series 7, 63, 65, 24 and 31 registrations.
His “Rookie of The Year” award showed the immediate success which he achieved with The Berkshire Life Insurance Company in the first part of his career. Terry received that company's highest honor when he was named their “Honorary President of the Year” in 1981. While with Berkshire, he achieved life membership in The Million Dollar Roundtable.
Following many years in the insurance business, he went on to start his independent financial planning company, TCL Financial Services. He has been helping his clients for forty years and continues to enjoy assisting them plan for their futures.
Over the past twenty years, Terry has focused his approach to investing on alternative investments, basing his investment approach on Modern Portfolio Theory. Believing strongly in creating unusual opportunities for his clients, Terry is always mindful of market cycles and maintains strong relationships with providers of investment alternatives to complement core portfolios.
Terry's wife, Carol, his three children and eight grandchildren have kept him grounded as he has pursued his life's goals. Working with his clients, playing golf and involvement in his Christian community are the things he most enjoys. Now living in Williamsburg, Virginia, he finds it a pleasure participating in William and Mary activities.
Terry Lady states that the essence of his approach to investing is to work with his clients in the same way he handles his own family's finances. Putting his client's best interest first is Terry's highest hope. He has been esteemed by his associates and clients as well for his integrity and honesty.
